The distinct functions of the internal spaces directly dictated our structural methodology. We built the main chapel using robust concrete tilt panel construction. Furthermore, we detailed these panels with a bespoke patterned inlay. This specific design choice provides architectural permanence and excellent acoustic mass.

Conversely, we utilized traditional timber framing for the administrative office and mortuary wings. We needed to unify these different structural elements seamlessly. Therefore, we finished the exterior with premium cedar cladding. Ultimately, this beautiful timber softens the overall commercial scale and perfectly integrates the modern building into the local Warkworth environment.
